More About Me

I focus on what I love and bet my time on what excites me most. I believe romantic goals can be achieved through pragmatic execution and long-term thinking.

Growing up, I lived in quite a few places: Luoyang, Chongqing, Xinyang, Chengdu (which I consider my hometown), Shanghai, Ann Arbor, and now the Bay Area.

These days, I think a lot about how to navigate my research to have a counterfactual impact, contributing positively towards friendly, capable machine intelligence.

Before working on AI research, I was quite into physics and participated in the Physics Olympiad during my high school years. I still read physics books from time to time.

I am a gamer and I find Nintendo, Game Science, FromSoftware inspiring. I once made some (admittedly sketchy) games: you can play a zelda-like game here and a game about light and shadow here.

This website is a minimal collection of html and css files that I co-created with language models.
